5 Activities to Enjoy this Coronation Bank Holiday
The Coronation is almost upon us! The date for the Coronation of His Majesty The King and Her Majesty The Queen Consort has been set for Saturday, 6th May 2023, and the bonus Coronation bank holiday on Monday, 8th May means that so many of us are set to enjoy a three-day weekend of celebrations.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to get together with friends, family and your community. We have gathered 5 of the best, local majestic activities and events to see you through the long weekend.

One of our next door neighbours have a whole host of fun activities planned for this weekend including a honey talk and honey tasting on Bank Holiday Monday.

Walk through the Bluebells
A visit to Castle Hill Gardens will reward you with stunning walks through the woodland, pathways take you through a woodland filled with Bluebells and surrounded by Camellia’s, Blossom, Magnolia and a rainbow of Rhododendrons. There are many seating areas along the way to enjoy the vistas. Children will enjoy climbing on trees and a walk to the Castle will reward you with the most incredible views across Devon.
Community Events
Check with your local Parish as many have free community events for the whole family to enjoy this weekend. It is a wonderful way to bring people together, share food and create memories with your neighbours!

The Plough Arts Centre
The Plough who host our wonderful summer Outdoor Theatre are holding a variety of events through the weekend. Rock The Monarchy takes place on Friday at 8pm with two local bands – Reclamation and Landspeeder.
